Native not American. Waganakising ndojeba (crooked tree) Odawa/Anishinaabek Nation. Thinks & prays about things, but beLIEves nothing.

I am Waganakising (crooked tree) Odawa "ottawa" of the Anishinaabek (Fell from the stars, or made from nothing) Nation from northern Michigan, and a member of the so called LTBB, or little traverse bay bands of Odawa indians, and also part Mohawk, but my being native to this land base has to do with my way of life as an Anishinaabe, a perception of life, respect and innerstanding of life, not blood quanta, or affiliation to a tribal government, or anything like that, but my connection to AKi -Earth. All though i can not stand the culture vultures. They may be nice people, but it is pitiful, and part of the on going struggle to keep our identity intact without romanticisms of our way being something religious or care free due to mis representations. I think we have been stripped of a lot of our identity, and programmed what it means to be a human being, and just going through the motions, so remembering is important to me, as in activating my DNA memory.

We are all part of the same race but different cultures, no matter how much they have inspired that lie. I do not consider myself as much at all, but apparently i am a First Nations poet, artist, and speaker. Previously been part of such movements as the student occupation of DQU in Davis California, California's only tribal college. A longest walk 2 DQ ambassador walker/spokesperson in 2008.

Currently i am no longer participating in activism, as in civil disobedience, or any movements other than contributing the poetry/music/speaking....arts. Call me what you want, but i know better from generations, and even my own experiences in that waste. Be free, i forgot freeDumb and justICE at this point. I have worked and shared the stage with John Trudell, Floyd redcrow Westerman, Winona LaDuke, Fred Hampton jr, Stephen & Julian Marley, Toots & the Maytals, Michael Franti & spearhead, Blackfire, Kris Kristopherson, Taj Mahal, Cempoalli 20 & the bluntest, Ras K'dee & Audiopharmacy, Goddess Alchemy project, Nikila Badua, Sasha Rose, India Arie, SistaHailstorm, JSD, El Vuh, The coup, Moses Brings Plenty, and many more.
